Experience
I've taken over 60 credit hours in English, Literature and 22 credit hours in Creative Writing, focusing on Poetry and Non-fiction prose. In my senior year of college I wrote two full length manuscripts, one of poetry and one of non-fiction prose. I've published five poems in several different Literary magazines over the last year, given six public readings of my work and plan to continue working towards publication. All of my Creative Writing credit hours are workshop classes that include daily feed back on individual pieces in poetry, fiction and non-fiction. My extracurricular hobbies in high school included participating in the concert band, marching band, percussion ensemble, debate and mock trial teams, Harvard Model Congress and the Literature club. I was an active participant on my college campus as part of the Literature Club for my Junior and Senior year as well as a Peer Mentor and Scribe for Special Needs students.
